Introduction  There are many websites that offer valuable information to design researchers. Some have adequate curatorial controls, though some do not rise above personal opinion. Few seem to have robust peer review policies. It is important to recognise the differences, especially with crowdsourced sites.

EThOS. British Library index of PhD Theses. This was introduced in 2009 to provide a complete list of all PhD theses published in the UK. Recent theses may be available in digital format, earlier theses may have abstracts only. Digital copies can be requested.
